What is a Mandala?
The word Mandala means 'centre', 'circle' or 'sphere' and comes from the classical language, Sanskrit. Mandala is sometimes translated as a 'container of essence' which hints at both the psychological and spiritual significance of the symbol.
the ancient is a sanskrit term for Circle or sphere. Working on both the psychological and spiritual planes, creating and meditating with mandalas is used as a therapeutic process in both Eastern and Western cultures.

Sarah & Isabel are practitioners in Chinese medicine, Tui Na and Acupuncture, which are available on the retreat as one to one treatments. Sarah, a ray of yang positivity, has been treating and teaching for over 25 years and loves singing and writing music. Isabel hides a black belt in kick boxing under her nurturing ‘yin’ exterior! Together with Ali they created AcuGong, a blend of bodywork, healing sound and needles which has been described as ‘ancient and life changing’.
The retreat programme is Ali’s creation and she is dedicated to holding space for you to explore and let go. She has been offering yoga and yoga therapy for the last eight years and is best known for hosting gong baths, with an ever expanding range of sound healing tools. She will immerse you in the gong sound daily, share her passion for Ayurveda and lead the kundalini and yin yoga practises, mantra and voice work.
